Agenda:

Complaint filed by Rollers regarding the non-compliance of Cable Car in the manner by which they had filled up their roster in their game held at Cable car on the night of June 7, 2005. The basic issue was that Rollers had allowed Dexter Calopez to play in the first and sixth slot of the mens' division.

Minutes:

The above issue was discussed and the following points where raised:

  1. Pro (siding on complaint of Rollers)
    1. The rule states that no unranked player may play twice in slots one (1) thru seven (7). A team may let an unranked player play twice in the men's division only in slots eight (8) and nine (9) based on section 1b below.
    2. The proviso that of section 1a above was borne out of the fact that at the start of the conference Handle Bar frankly stated that they cannot meet the minimum of nine (9) male players. Hence, a  proviso was added that "in case a team comes to a venue with only seven (7) unranked male players, it may field two (2) of its unranked player who have not played in the mixed doubles to play in slots eight (8) and nine (9). In the course of the discussion, it was found that Cable Car had available nine (9) male unranked players and hence could not use the proviso stated in section 1a above.
  2. Against (siding in favor of Cable Car).
    1. It is standard procedure for each team captain to check the roster of the opposing team. Since Jassen Chua  was familiar with the rule that "no unranked player may play twice in slots one (1) thru seven (7),  he should have brought up the matter at the beginning of the games.
    2. Upon examination of past line ups of other and both teams, it was found that section 1a above had been consistently violated in the past. The board could be faulted for this for not having discovered this and bringing up the matter to all team captains to make them fully aware of the rule in section 1a at an early stage. Only Filling Station had adhered to section 1a fully.
  3. Resolution: Having studied the facts of the case, the board decided for a replay based on the fact that both teams were at fault. It was decided that the replay be held at DETOUR on June 14, Thursday at 8:00pm with the following guidelines:
    1. Both teams will field in the same players listed in the score sheet of their game on June 7, 2005. Both teams will present a line-up based on these players in a blind draw.
    2. The games will be supervised by representative/s of the NBA board.
    3. All existing tournament rules and regulations will apply.
  4. Further resolved that in the next conference, the mechanics of filling up or doing the line-up be printed at the back of the score sheet to avoid ignorance of the above rules and regulations.

Meeting adjourned at 3:00am of the following day.
